Work out with P.Volve
I’ve always been very interested in keeping my body healthy and “fit”. I was a cheerleader and gymnast growing up and once I went to college I tried to find other ways to workout but couldn’t find anything I liked. I worked out at the Rec center at CSULB for a year and then I started doing CrossFit workouts when I was 19. I really enjoyed the community feeling when working out there plus I thought this would give me the body that I wanted. WOW I was so wrong. I was so sore all the time and I didn’t even fit into my jeans anymore.. (no offense to anyone that likes CrossFit. It just wasn’t for me) this was the opposite of what i wanted so I quit and started working out at the UFC Gym doing boxing. I really enjoyed boxing and continued to do it for 4 years, but I still felt that I was missing something. The coaches wanted me to lift heavier, punch harder, and whatever else but what I really wanted was a low impact workout where my joints didn’t hurt all the time (I’M 23 JEEZ).
I was listening to the I Don’t Get It podcast (Shout out to Ashley I, Lauren, and Naz) and they had an episode with this guy Stephen Pasterino. He talked about how he trains Victoria Secret models using this method he made up all on his own and it was exactly what I have been looking for.
He states:
“My philosophy is built on the idea that the fast, sweaty world of women’s fitness and training isn’t creating the naturally proportioned, lean bodies that women are looking for. I believe in helping people transform their bodies through sustainable methods that create incredible tone and definition without straining, damaging or bulking muscles. The P.volve approach to fitness is as much about creating confidence as it is about building strength, and we’re excited to help you get the body of your dreams through efficient and purposeful exercises.”
They really focus on stretching and leaning out your body to enhance the natural curves of a woman’s body. He streams videos for anyway to do in the comfort of their own home along with monthly challenges. For equipment they use: ankle bands, ankle weights, p.band, the p.ball, light hand weights, and they are starting to add more.
I just did a pop up class in LA with him and it was so great!! I’ve only been doing it for a couple of months and I really have seen a difference in my arms, thighs, and stomach. If anyone has questions about this please feel free to reach out. Website
